Companies that acquire personal data using social media platforms must follow the PDPA&rsquo;s regulations, which include seeking authorization from users to collect and use their data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Contempt of Court Act B.E. 2522 (1979) is another pertinent statute that bans publishing or spreading any incorrect information or defamation that might damage the authority of the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Legal_Risks_of_Social_Media_in_Thailand\"><\/span>Legal Risks of Social Media in Thailand<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People and enterprises in Thailand who use social media should be aware of the legal implications. Any incorrect or defamatory information may result in legal action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2.Obtain consent before collecting personal data: Companies collecting personal data through social media should guarantee that users have given their approval to acquire and use their data. This may be accomplished by explicitly describing the aim of the data collection and receiving consent via a consent form or opt-in method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.Monitor social media platforms: Monitoring social media platforms on a regular basis can assist people and businesses in detecting incorrect information or defamatory content about them.
